Transport
We’ll be providing a bus on the day to help make things as smooth and fun as possible! It will collect guests from a selection of locations* and drop everyone off at the first venue. From there, the bus will transport guests between the venues throughout the day.

At the end of the night, the bus will make two return trips:

  • The first at 9:30pm
  • A second late‑night trip for those wanting to keep the celebrations going a little longer.
While we’d love for everyone to hop on the bus, you’re also very welcome to drive yourself—all venues have ample parking available. Keep in mind that there’s limited public transport in the area, so if you’re staying a few extra days, a car will come in handy.
*We’ll reach out closer to the day to confirm pick‑up points once we know where everyone is staying.
Accomodation
Guests have several accommodation options depending on their preferences. For those wanting to stay close to the venues, the charming Mapua area offers a relaxed coastal village vibe. Nelson City provides a vibrant urban experience, with everything from relaxed cafés to top restaurants and a lively arts scene. For a quieter suburban stay, nearby Richmond is an excellent choice.
If you have any questions about accommodation or would like more recommendations, feel free to reach out—we’re more than happy to help!
Please let us know where you end up booking your accommodation so we can coordinate the pick-up locations for the bus.
Attire
The dress code is smart casual—just imagine yourself dressing for a summer garden party, but this time it's a wedding.
Since we’ll be outdoors for much of the day, consider shoes that are both comfortable and practical for wearing on grass.
There’s no set colour palette—go with whatever feels good to you.
Children
Little ones are very welcome to join us! Just keep in mind that it will be a full day of activities spread across a few different venues, including wineries and a pub.
While there will be delicious food, plenty of fresh air, and lots of fun, the day may be a bit long and there won’t be much downtime or space for naps and prams.
If that sounds manageable for your family, we’d love to have them along. Just let us know when you RSVP so we can plan accordingly.
Gifts
Having you there means the world to us—that’s honestly the best gift we could ask for. But if you do feel like giving something, we’d really appreciate a little something in our wishing well, or a donation in our name to a cause that’s close to our hearts.
If you’d like to contribute, you can do so through the links below, or in person on the day if that works better for you.
Reception Playlist
To keep the atmosphere alive after our musician wraps up, we're putting together a playlist to keep the celebration going into the night. We'd love for our guests to contribute their own song choices—we're expecting an eclectic mix of eras and genres!
You can add your suggestions directly to the playlist using the link below, or simply message us with the artist and song title, and we’ll add them for you.
